What do I need to make my printer work?
I recently received a brother MFC-845CW printer. It is supposed to have wireless interface. Being the novice that I am, I'm not really sure what that means. I went out and bought a printer cable, but I don't see any place to hook it up. Is there something else I should buy? Am I just missing the place where it goes in?Question #2:

Reformat Harddrive and trying to reinstall MFC-5460 Brother Printer. Stuck on USB connection?
I'm trying to reinstall my printer and when it goes to the part where it says "plug in printer usb to computer and turn on" It tells me to wait until the installation continues and that windows will open and close.Well, I've had that screen for more than an hour and nothing happened.
I tried to restart the printer. Unplugged and plugged in the USB.
Restarted my computer. Ran no other applications other than that.
And still nothing has happened. I'm not exactly sure on why.
I have the disk and I also tried to download these files from the Brother website. But both give the same problem.
I also tried another way. Which had me just downloading some files and clicking add printer. But even though I had it there, my printer still wouldn't connect to th PC.
Are they any solutions or other ways I could do this? I've been at this for more than 4 hours...

Why is my printer cutting off the left half of the envelope in Word 2010?
I am using Windows 7 with Microsoft Word 2010 and a Brother HL-4040CN printer. I am printing on envelopes that are 8.75" x 5.75" using a document I created.Using the same printer, and the same document, the envelopes looked great when I printed them two weeks ago.
But I had to reinstall Windows and I upgraded my Office software from Word 2003 to Word 2010.
In Word 2010, the same document, working with the same printer, has a totally new problem. It cuts off the left half of the envelope. For example, if this were my envelope:

My printer would print:
pus Mail Services
n Illinois University
instead of:
Campus Mail Services
Eastern Illinois University
And the text in the "to" address prints way too far to the left.
In other words, it's cutting off the left part of the envelope.
Anyone have any ideas?

Sombody blaming others when they can't accept the fact they're wrong?
I don't understand this. Why would people even blame others even if they didn't do anything. This is what happened. My mother is trying to print stuff and my brother, as usual is playing PC video game. She realized she can't print and throws off a tantrum, blaming my brother for the trouble. She thinks video games is always the trouble and yells about the printer not working and the game changed the settings. The sad part is that she blames everything on games. Apparently, I was hearing this and sick of it, so I decided to check. I scanned the game files and nothing happened. My anti virus is AVG 9.0. So I scanned the website. Nothing came up.The next day, my father got the printer working again after a few simple changes to the printer settings.I have a feeling my mother a total *******. So what if you can't print some Macy coupon? Does that give you the damn right to blame others for your mistake. I hate when they do that. Games aren't always the problem. And yet, she blames my brother for the game. And what gives you the damn right to blame everything on games and us? So what if you're a parent and mother of me? So what if you have higher authority? Don't blame others.
I just don't understand.
By the way, she is throwing another tantrum after this and is still raging about stupid coupons. Give me a break.

Install XP network printer on 7 laptop?
My home XP network has a shared Brother MFC-5890CN printer off a USB port on a pizzabox computer. Other XP machines find the printer no problem. My new Win 7 laptop can't install automatically. I manually tried to install, but file find window comes up saying to browse for *.inf driver. The Brother drivers are .dll, not .inf. How do I install the printer?PS, I am amazed that Win 7 doesn't network as well as XP. You still need to search for mutiple hidden menu screens to share it and such, then can't even find printer driver! Way to go MicroSoft!!

Printer and Windows XP Pro issue?
I just bought a used desktop from someone. It's fairly new and has Windows XP Professional on it. It's an HP (In case it matters), whenever I plug in my Brother MFC-240C into the back of the computer, it doesn't get past the POST screen. I unplugged it, it boots up fine, plug it in, it doesn't boot. I tried all the USB ports on the computer, I have a wireless USB mouse, and it works, so it's not the USB ports. I even plugged it in, turned it on, it hanged at the POST screen, I unplugged the printer while it was on, and it beeped and booted Windows. How can I solve this problem? I don't want to unplug and replug my printer every time I start my PC.Question #20:
