From my 20 years of experience I always recommend Canon or HP, I do like Lexmark too, Most printers today will not work if a cartridge is empty unless you know how to trick it, but that's another story, you can also adjust your printer settings from the control panel and if you set it to economy that will save you money on ink or toner too, hope that helps and good luck.Answer #2:
